I look back on my days spent playing various Role Playing Games, or RPG’s to those that don’t know what they are, and have to think what if our world were an RPG.  Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t live in a fantasy world, well OK, I do, but my fantasy world is more like the ones in an RPG than the real world.  A dark RPG at that, with lots of evil little gremlins and demons running around and a lot of heavy music for the sound track, but that’s a story for another day.

This is a story that was somewhat inspired by a trip to the town of Beaufort, NC ove the summer.  While there, I went on a ghost walk and there was a story that was close to this to the one that haunts Sarah in the story.  It was a tale of a woman that lost her only daughter after her husband took her on a trip to England and the child died on the return trip.  I do hope you enjoy the tale that was rendered from this.
